As you will be aware, you will still be able to import animals and products of animal origin after Brexit, but the process for notifying the UK authorities will change. If we leave the EU without a deal on 31
st October, you will no longer be able to use TRACES and will instead need to be ready to use IPAFFS.
Action required by you or your business:
- If you have not yet registered on IPAFFS register now
Details on how to register are attached to the bottom of this email.
We recommend that you create a new Government Gateway account specifically for IPAFFS and that you create multiple ‘org admins’ to avoid difficulties when people change roles or leave.
Please note the first person to register your organisation will automatically become an ‘administrator’ and thus have the ability to invite other users - either as standard users or other ‘org admins’.
