Submitting Original Documents to Port Health during the COVID-19 Outbreak
Updated: 28/02/2021 As you are aware Port Health require submission of original documents for imports of the following:- Products of Animal Origin
- High Risk Food and Feed Not of Animal Origin
- Wild caught fishery products requiring catch certificates
- Plastic kitchenware from China and Hong Kong
- Organic food and feed

| Products of Animal Origin | CVED Original signed CVED Note: · We will no longer accept unsigned CVEDs. · CVEDs must be signed by the person completing the CVED on TRACES and named on the CVED Health Certificate Original health certificate. If due to COVID issues in the country of origin the original certificate is not available at the time of import then there are two easements at present: If the certificate was produced on TRACES-NT then we will accept the certificate shown on TNT. If the certificate was not produced on TRACES-NT, we will accept a colour copy of the certificate emailed directly from the third country competent authority to edocs@scpha.gov.uk with the container number included in the email heading. If it is necessary for you to use one of these easements you will need to provide with the CHED-P a request to release on copy documents. The request must include information as to the whereabouts of the original certificate and a guarantee that the original will be submitted without delay as soon as it is received. | High Risk Food and Feed not of Animal Origin | CHED-D Original signed CHED-D Note: · We will no longer accept unsigned CHED-Ds. · CHED-Ds must be signed by the person completing the CHED-D on IPAFFS and named on the CHED-D. Health Certificate and Test Report (when required for the product being imported) Original certificate and original test report (when required). If due to COVID issues in the country of origin the original certificate is not available at the time of import then we will accept a colour copy of the certificate emailed directly from the third country competent authority to edocs@scpha.gov.uk with the container number included in the email heading If it is necessary for you to use this easement you will need to provide with the CHED-D a request to release on copy documents. | Wild caught fishery products requiring catch certificates | Catch certificateOriginal catch certificate(s) with the importer’s declaration completed. This applies when the fishery products are exported from the same country as the flag state of the vessel that caught the fish And/Or Original processing statement with copy catch certificate(s) with the importer’s declaration completed. This applies when the fishery products are processed in a different country to the flag state of the vessel that caught the fish. If there are multiple catch certificates then an original signed multiple catch certificate summary document can be submitted with the above documents, so that you don’t have to sign the importer’s declaration on every catch certificate.
